The Dubno Community Fund Supported People with Disabilities

More than 50 Dubno families will receive free diapers, pads, and bed liners. The Dubno Community Fund “Dobrobut” secured grant funds to purchase hygiene products thanks to volunteer Geoffrey Glenn. (Geoffrey Glenn). This is not the first time the American has helped Dubno, as he lived and worked here for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine. After completing his volunteer service, he continued to support community and charitable organizations in the city. Since February 2022, he has dedicated even more time, believing that the Ukrainian people deserve to be free and successful.

The “Victory Grant” is a small grant program established by the Alliance of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers to Ukraine (RPCV-AUA). The alliance is a network of former Peace Corps volunteers who actively supported Ukraine before and during the war. Alliance members have provided Ukraine with vehicles, medical supplies, and financial support. Recently, the alliance began working on finding sponsors for Ukrainian refugees who wish to move to the United States.

“In August, the Dubno Community Fund ‘Dobrobut’ received a small grant to help provide hygiene products for seriously ill people with disabilities,” explained Geoffrey Glenn.

Families in Dubno with elderly members, people with disabilities, and those who are bedridden require such hygiene products regularly. When possible, they purchase them themselves, but the monthly costs are significant, making this assistance essential.
